As you all know by now, I am searching all over the internet for something that could potentially make me lose all the kilos I gained during my first month here in Stockholm. Not that the city breeds fatsos, but my sedentary lifestyle led to my weight gain.
Before all these, all I knew is that eating less would make you lose weight – no after six, low-carb, yada yada diet regimen knowledge at all. Now, everything is just more confusing with the choice between a diet and a cleanse! What’s the difference, really?
My internet research led me to these two conclusions:
1. A diet is an eating habit that you do long-term to lose weight and to control weight gain as well.
2. A cleanse is a quick way to shed off pounds basically because you are releasing toxins, and not a permanent solution.
If I were to choose, I would go through a simple cleanse such as the Master Cleanse which requires someone to live on lemonade with honey and cayenne pepper for a couple of days so that the body can flush out all the toxins. After going through the Master Cleanse, maintain a good diet so that there will be lesser toxins entering the body and lesser chances of gaining weight as well.
Instead of a diet or a cleanse, I would rather go with a cleanse first, then a diet.
What is the best cleanse out there that will compliment the low-carb diet (as I am thinking of adapting that one since it does not starve you from the food you love most but instead, give you substitutes or alternatives)?
Wanted to share my Great Aunt Minis Honey Lemonade Recipe: 1/2 gallon warm water, 1/2 cup honey, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice. Just mix it all with your hands (their warmth will disolve the honey and sugar) and pour mixture into a gallon container filled 3/4 with ice. I like to use wild honey from the local food coop…it has a unique spicey flavor.
